Piedmont Opera is proud to announce the expansion of its innovative outreach program, Opera Lite, which brings engaging and accessible opera performances to communities across the greater Triad.
Originally launched through a generous grant from the Shallow Ford Foundation in Lewisville, Opera Lite was designed to introduce opera to new audiences in a lighter, approachable format. Building on that success, the program is now growing to reach even more communities, fulfilling Piedmont Opera’s mission to make opera available and enjoyable for all.
“Opera Lite is our way of meeting people where they are,” said Logan Webber, performer and Piedmont Opera’s Marketing and Outreach Manager. “These performances break down barriers and invite new audiences to experience the joy of opera in a welcoming environment.”
Upcoming Opera Lite Performances:
October 26 – 3:00 PM | Mary Alice Warren Community Center, Lewisville/Clemmons
Supported by a $2,500 grant from The Shallow Ford Foundation
November 22 – Time TBD | Edward C. Smith Civic Center, Lexington
Sponsored by The Smith Civic Center
May 31 – 3:00 PM | Supported by Yadkin Cultural Arts Center, Yadkinville
August 23 – 3:00 PM | Supported by Yadkin Cultural Arts Center, Yadkinville
November 1 – 3:00 PM | Supported by Yadkin Cultural Arts Center, Yadkinville
Information about additional programming in other Triad locations are on the horizon.
