At the end of Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival week in September, Piedmont Opera is sponsoring a song recital program entitled Girls of Yellow Diamonds. Presented by artists affiliated with the nonprofit Wear Yellow Proudly, the performance features Asian women composers and poets with the intention of raising awareness and uplifting the stories of Asian women. Performing songs in Mandarin and Korean (with translations printed in the program) and English, classical singers Alice Chung and Helen Huang will take us on a poignant musical journey with local pianist and WFU adjunct professor Dr. Yong Im Lee Federle.

Listen to their podcast here!

Piedmont Opera is proud to partner with the following departments at Wake Forest University:

  • Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures
