SING JOYFULLY
Join the Piedmont Youth Chorus.
The Piedmont Youth Chorus has three choirs (Kids, Voices, & PYC) for any level of child singer. Students learn essential tools that they can use to express themselves, encouraging singers to find their voice in the world. These choirs empower singers in the community to expand their horizons and embrace a leading role in the world through new music, new friends and new-found sense of confidence.
KIDS
PYC KIDS is a preparatory choir experience for students in Kindergarten through Second grades. Singers are introduced to formal choral instruction in a playful and safe environment. They perform in both fall and spring concerts, with additional performing opportunities available.
Through songs and games, singers will be introduced to the foundational musicianship skills.
REGISTRATION
Tuition for PYC Kids is $25 a month, and can be paid in full or through installments. There is also a $70 annual registration fee. When you register, you will have the option to set up an automatic payment plan using a credit or debit card.
All singers must register online prior to the first rehearsal.
Need based scholarships are available per request.

VOICES
PYC Voices singers build musicianship and long lasting friendships in a joyful and creative enviroment. This is encouraged for singers in third through sixth grade, based on vocal placement audition. They perform in both fall and spring concerts, and UNCSA's Nutcracker snowflake chorus with additional performing opportunities available.
Singers discover their voice through ensemble singing, solo opportunities, sight reading, and music theory. While learning to sing diverse repertoire with musicality, movement and expression.

PYC
PYC is encouraged for students seventh through twelfth grades. While focusing on camaraderie, music literacy, and creativity, this group will also receive specific instruction in vocal technique geared toward the alto and soprano voices. A vocal placement audition is required. They perform in both fall and spring concerts, and UNCSA's Nutcracker snowflake chorus with additional performing opportunities available.
This is the Piedmont Youth Chorus most advanced choral ensemble, empowering singers in the community through an extensive performance schedule, community service projects, and unique community engagements.
