Student Night at the Opera is the final dress rehearsal for the performance and is an opportunity for students to witness professional opera performances. Student Night is designed for students and their chaperones only.
Typically Student Night runs between 2 ½ -3 hours (including any intermissions). It is perfectly acceptable to leave at intermission due to the fact that this is a school night for most children. Groups are highly discouraged from leaving at any other point during the performance as it disturbs other patrons.
Student Night for Silent Night is on October 25th at 7:30 PM. Student tickets are not available online, so please call 336.725.7101 for ticketing information. Click here for an education package created by Michigan Opera.
We offer a Student Night Package that includes both of Piedmont Opera’s student night performances and the A.J. Fletcher Opera Institute’s student night at a discounted rate. Call 336.725.7101 for more information.
Admission is $5 for students and $15 for accompanying chaperones. Adults cannot exceed the total number of students present per group. Each student and chaperone will be issued an individual ticket with seating assignment in order to enter the theatre. Payment is required at time of ticket purchase. For a discounted subscription for all three operas, call us at 336.725.7101. If traveling by school/activity bus please let us know ahead of time to arrange for bus parking. Students will enter the theatre with their school group with their tickets in hand.
Due to the generosity of HanesBrands, Inc., Crosby Scholars may attend Student Night and the Tuesday night performance for free. Chaperones are $15. Please call to reserve your tickets.
